The S7 Band is the creative persona of the Sincere Seven's mission of "Fighting for Justice & Equality In Our Workplace...and In All Places."

Perry Redd and The S7 Band was created from a settlement between the American Book Company (Sincere Seven's workplace) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for violating S7 co-founder Perry Redd's right-to-organize during the Sincere Seven's inaugural labor rights campaign in 1999.

The S7 Band includes a cadre of evolving players that began within the slam poetry scene around East Knoxville and the Black students at the University of Tennessee.

The S7 Band has a history of poetic legends who have graced the Reddland studios to record some of the most profound social change soliloquy ever:
